HDC Young Chang makes contributions to society.

HDC Young Chang makes contributions to society by offering free practice rooms and music lessons on a regular basis for the first time in Korea.

The leading global musical instrument company, HDC Young Chang, plans to make contributions to society by offering free music lessons and practice rooms for the first time in Korea.

On the second floor of its headquarters in Seo-gu, Incheon, South Korea, HDC Young Chang offers a learning space where external lectures are held every Saturday. It provides various educational programs for elementary school students, middle school and high school students, and adults at different times with different themes such as classical music and practical piano accompaniment. Students are encouraged to choose the appropriate curriculum depending on their interest. Reservation is required before attending the lectures, and each student will be given a digital piano and a tablet PC during the class. Anyone, regardless of age and region, can participate in the educational programs for free.

In addition, HDC Young Chang has recently been equipped with private piano practice rooms, which are open to the public for free.

Many music students and musicians pay about KRW 10,000 to 20,000 per hour to rent a practice room to avoid annoying their neighbors with noises. To help them practice music in a better environment, HDC Young Chang offers two practice rooms that are equipped with a high-end grand piano for free until 9 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. It is possible to book the practice room up to three hours a day on a first-come, first-served basis. Any individual or group, not to mention local residents, are encouraged to rent a conference room for free, which is ideal for amateur society meetings, business seminars, educational events, and school art festivals.

HDC Young Chang has been contributing to the society to achieve social development and cultivate musicians. It lives up to the motto of its parent company, Hyundai Development Company, which focuses on various cultural projects “to create a world filled with wealth and trust.” Every year, it offers various cultural programs that are unequalled in the industry: organizing the Korea-China International Music Concours, which is the largest concours in Korea; providing educational programs at the Korean Cultural Center in China; sponsoring a sports team; and promoting active cultural exchanges between Korean and Chinese institutions of higher education.
